SCRIPTURE

         04 - 03 - 01

      Hey hey heY,

Wassup yo! It's gettin pretty late for monday (yeah, its like 11:47).
Almost missed sending this badboy out on monday. sheeuuuuu, i just made it.
Yup yup. Today was pretty packed with mad stuff to do. MAAAN! I just
remembered I was supposed to write a letter to someone! Doh! Ahh well, the
night is young and I'll be up for awhile still, shonuff. Aight, enough about
me, let's hear about you. People, WHUT UP? How are things going in your
life? Hit a brutha up wit da 411 nawmean. Ya make a brutha fell like he
facing a quiet frontier or somethin. Hit me back with a quickness yo! heh
heh, seriously though, what's up? hit me back.... Aight, on to Scripture.

Kyoo, im going to share with yall a part of the PHAT message I heard on
Sunday. Old testament baby, checkit, here is a lil bg (background). Brutha
man Jehoshaphat, king of the tribe of Judah at da time and a man after God
(tight tight tight). Anyway, he caught wind of some terrifying news. Da
peeps around them were going to attack them in full force. Now brutha man was
like, "yoooooo, ain't no way we can take these kats. They far outnumber us.
That's it, im calling a nationwide fast and prayer, dis is BIG yo. LET'S DO
IT!!" And then homeboy stood up in the temple in Jerusalem in the courtyard
and prayed. Now check this, this is maaaaaaaaad tight:

      2 Chronicles 20:12

"O our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face
this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do,
but our eyes are upon you."

YOOOOO, dat is hot, dat is hot! These kats believed God, fully. And they
knew that God was tight, and that God had their back. So the proclaimed it
and believed it and confessed that they dont know what the heck to do, but
their eyes are on Him. That's awesome. Let me hit you up with the rest of
the story. God spoke to a kat named Jahaziel and he relayed da message to da
peeps. It went sumtim like this, "yeah yeah, I got yo back, don't you worry
none about that, don't be afraid, don't even be worried... I got yo back. They
will be coming at this location. I want you to go there, position yourselves,
stand firm, and face them. Do not be worried or afraid, but go and face them
and see the deliverance I will give you." And guess what? Da people believed
and had faith in their God, and the went to the place while giving praise and
honor to God, singing and worshipping the whole way. Meanwhile, God was
workin, and by the time Jehoshaphat and his posse reached the place, the
battle was practically over. The armies had slain themselves. So here is da
question bruthaz and sistaz. What army is attacking you, what battle is
coming your way or is in your way that you have no power to face? It's so
fierce that you do not even know what to do. What is it? heh, it doesn't
matter what it is, place your eyes on God. He's got yo back. Instead of
wallowing in distress, place your eyes on God, He's got yo back. What
possible thing is out there that God cannot handle? He's got yo back. But
checkit, that doesn't mean give to God then turn your back on the whole thing
and let Him handle it. No no, see, sometimes God requires us to do something
as well.... take position, stand firm, and face it. In this case, He wanted
Israel to go to the site of the battle, where they feared to go, where the
exact thing that threatened them would be, God told them to go there and stand
firm. And they believed, and went forth, and were delivered. AWESOME YO!! No
matter the problem, keep your eyes on God, and have faith. and BAAAAAAAM!
armies will fall! Life aint no walk in the park, and just cuz some peeps are
Christian don't mean life is gonna be a walk in the park, da stuff is gonna
hit da roof sometimes. But the question is, when that time comes, what are
you gonna do when you know not what to do and have no power against it?
Wallow in distress or keep your eyes on God, in good and in bad?

Aight peeps, let me get this to ya. As for me, got some business ta
haaaandle. This has been mo' word baby! Peace out.

      God bless,

      - patrick

ps - can't wait ta hear from you! =|;?) heh heh

         04 - 04 - 01

      Hey!!

I DIDN'T GET ANY RESPONSES!!! WHAT'S UP WIT DAT!? heh heh, how are ya?
I'm doin pretty good. The exam I took this morning wasn't as hard as I
thought it would be. Secondly, today is an AWESOME day!! Low 60s, sunny,
breezy, aaaaawwww yeaaaaahh. Mad tight. Aight, on to Scripture.

Kyoo, I read sumtim in Ezra. It was Ezra 8. This kat Ezra got himself in a
bit of a bind, actually sumtim that could have been life threatenin. Check it:

21 There, by the Ahava Canal, I proclaimed a fast, so that we might
humble ourselves before our God and ask him for a safe journey for us
and our children, with all our possessions. 22 I was ashamed to ask
the king for soldiers and horsemen to protect us from enemies on the
road, because we had told the king, "The gracious hand of our God is
on everyone who looks to him, but his great anger is against all who
forsake him." 23 So we fasted and petitioned our God about this, and
      he answered our prayer.

So this Canal, full o' thieves, robbers, etc etc. Now it was especially
dangerous for peeps to cross this Canal if they were packin some G's (mad
amount of jewels, silver, gold, etc). So peeps who cross this canal usually
have a small army with 'em, soldiers and such, for some protection. But Ezra
had told da King, "ey, is no problem mon. Pops watchin over all who be lookin
to Him mon. And Pops be comin against those who forsake Him mon." So when
this time came, homeboy Ezra didn't want to ask the King for soldiers for he
would feel ashamed. After all, he had just proclaimed the greatness of Pops.
How would it make him look if he then went back and asked for soldiers? Was
it pride or soemthing deeper that stopped him? Well, if it was pride, homeboy
would have probably been attacked in the canal and all da G's stolen. No, it
was sumtim deeper. How would it look if he said one thing but did another?
It would look like he was talking the talk but not walking the walking. In
other words, a hypocrite. In even other words, he would have caused others to
stumble for who believes someone who says one thing, but then does another?
Not to mention he would have discredited God (as if that were possible, but on
human terms, people be descredittin any and everything much to their own
regret later, its a shame but it happens). So now he had put his own faith to
the test (hardcore yo) and risked possible death. But therein lies the irony,
by testing hisself, he had to knew that he knew that he knew, ie truly
believe. And he did, in fact he fasted and prayed too to Pops, "and he
answered our prayer" WHOOOOWEEEE, mad tight! So these kats went through such
dangerous terrain with PHAT G's, and were not attacked. Do you see the power
of prayer? the security of faith? Dag yo, it's awesome. Now imagine if you
had that... And the thing is, you can, anyone can. We need only believe.
It's right there in da Word yo, BAAAAAAAM! sweet and clear. Let's work on
building our faith and harnessing the power of prayer (not to mention prayer
is time where we get ta chill and talk ta Pops, and ask him for stuff too heh
heh heh).

Aight bruthaz and sistaz. Don't forget to hit me up wit a reply, you
know, da 411 on how you are doing. Until next time, peace, love and honor.
mo' Word.

      God bless,

      - patrick

      Yo yo!

Another Monday it be, Not bored but not free, Another week another
feat, To surpass and succeed. uh huh. Man, today was awesome. The weather
was tiiiight. My question is, why was the weather so nice before the weekend
and after the weekend, but not during the weekend when the prefrosh were here,
and especially saturday so we could o' had our roofdeck party? Questions
questions, so the linger, but it was all good. We met some tight prefrosh.
Others need some work, a lil to strung up. All in all, it was mad fun. Not
to mention the little froshlings brought an excited atmosphere to the campus.
mmhmmmmm. Oh, one prayer request, pray that prefrosh "sideburns" becomes more
positive about life and sees the glass as half full, and chiiiiiill (dat kat
needs some work yo0. heh heh, aight on to Scritpure.

Kyoo, I read some stuff in 1 Peter and 2 Peter. I saw somethin in 2 Peter
that was tiiiight. Checkit: verses 16-21

16 We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about
the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were
eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received honor and glory from
God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory,
saying, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
18 We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were
with him on the sacred mountain. 19 And we have the word of the
prophets made more certain, and you will do well to pay attention to
it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and
the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 Above all, you must
understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's
own interpretation. 21 For prophecy never had its origin in the will
of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy
      Spirit.

sheeuuuuu, that was a long bit of passage (compared to the ones i usually put
in these things that is). But its tight. Checkit, the Apostle Peter here
(one of the original 12) addresses some concerns that even arise today. The
first is the thought that all that they spoke were "cleverly invented stories"
(fairy tales if you will) when they spoke about da Christ. Peter says, yo
this aint made up, we were eyewitness to these events. If you go back and
look at the history of their walk with Christ, these apostles still did not
fully comprehend who the Christ was even at the time approaching his death.
But they were coming into knowledge of it. mmhmmm. But they had not yet full
known, so they, in essence, were regular joes walkin with this tight kat and
learnin from him and at the same time seeing all these wonderful things. What
bias could they have to create some fib, they merely recorded what they saw
and experienced, eyewitness accounts. And low and behold, it all made sense
to them after the fact, when they finally realized who this kat was that they
walked, talked, ate, and lived with. And then homeboy Peter reminds him us
that he was there when Pops said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am
well pleased." Peter was there dawgs and dawgettes. He was one of the three
that Jesus brought with him up the mountain to pray, the headings in your
Bibles call it "The Transfiguration" (Matt. 17:5, Mark 9:7, Luke 9:35). Petey
boy was there, saw with his own eyes, heard with his own ears ---> eyewitness
(along with his potnas). To further drop some knowledge, Peter refers to the
Prophets and prophecy. The stuff that they eyewitnessed, Peter reminds was
prophecied. Prophecy --> Fulfillment; Another Prophecy --> Another
Fulfillment. And then he tells us it would do us a well to pay attention to
the words of the prophets followed by a tight anology. In other words, check
out da word yo. Look up the prophecy, and "see the light shining in a dark
place". Dat prophecy is just chillin there, find it and then study it and the
events that occured much later "until the day dawns and the morning star rises
in your hearts"... aka "until ya got it, BAAAAM!" It'll just click and
realization will dawn on ya, as a morning star rises in your heart. And then
he goes and backs up da prophet's, droppin so mo' knowledge. He reminds us
that these prophetic words given by the prophets are not their own, heeeeck
naw. "For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man." Naw lo,
prophecy has its origin in Pops. It's Pops tell us what's gonna happen in da
future. And it's Pops giving us the Holy Spirit that he may carry us, aka
drop some knowledge about Pops or what Pops got ta say. And that, bruthaz and
sistaz, is where the Prophets got their word, they "spoke from God as they
were carried along by the Holy Spirit." Talk about wielding the sword with
pinpoint accuracy. Gotta take some lessons from Petey yo. Check the line yo:
Pops drops some knowledge --> the prophets understand it as da Spirit carried
them --> da prophets drop some knowledge --> eyewitnesses see these events
prophesied take place --> da eyewitnesses drop some knowledge --> we gots both
da Old and New Testament aka da word of the Prophets, da Eyewitness accounts
of da Eyewitnesses --> what next?
      do we:
      a) --> study da Testaments and gain some knowledge --> a morning star
rises in our hearts ---> we drop some knowledge (yeaaahh buuddy ;)
or b) --> say, "Forget about it" --> blissful oblivion

I dont know about others, but me, I wanna drop some knowledge on some kats
(yeaaaahh buuuddy =|;?) Aight yo! Time ta go to Jiu Jitsu BABY!!!!! huh what
huh huh huh what what! Peace

      God bless,

      - patrick

         04 - 11 - 01

      Hey Yo!

Tis wednesday, and da weather is still PHAT!! And guess what? Spring
time flowers are starting to grow. I noticed patches of colorful vegetation
here and there. It's awesome. A flower over here, A flower over there, give
it up give it up, aaaawwww yeeeaaahhh. Aight aight, 'nough o' that. How are
things going wit you? How are your skiiillz comin with wielding your sword?
eh eh? Things are going pretty well over here. Can't really complain about
anything (besides, who likes someone who complains alot, dey bring down a good
day). Aight, on to Scripture yo!

      Kyoo, i read 1 Peter 2:1-3

1 Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy,
envy, and slander of every kind. 2 Like newborn babies, crave pure
spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,
3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

Purification baby. Tell me, what kind of water do you like drinkin?
(seriously tell me, i expect a response form each one of you, heh heh). Do
you like drinking water straight from the ocean? Or water that has been
cleansed and purified? How much cleaner does the latter become? And how much
more desirable and beautiful? In much the same way, this passage is tellin us
to purify ourselves, to become clean, unblemished, more desirable, more
precious. Let's look at what it tells us to rid ourselves of: malice and all
deceit. Who likes a backstabber? Who trusts a backstabber? How much respect
is given to one who continually deceives and uses others for his/her gain or
mere enjoyment? Hypocrisy. Much like the previous, this is a two timer. One
who says one thing and does another. One who lives with a facade. One who is
fake, a poser if you will (heh heh). Envy. What does this breed? Hate,
anger, greed, jealousy, etc etc etc. Does any of that uplift one from their
current state? Heeeeck naw. In fact, it adds more stress, could bring them
further down the spiral into oblivion, allows this black, nasty,
uuuuuuuuuugalyyyyyy thing to fester and grow within them. Is it worth it?
Slander. Must I speak about this one? Just look around and you can see the
effects of slander, look at middle schools, high schools, colleges, living
groups, the workplace, the net. So what exactly is the Word telling us to rid
ourselves of? All that exists only to bring us down. If you look it at, it's
basically tellin us somethin that will be for our own good and well being.
What use is clinging to those things when the breed nothin but contempt and
negative attitudes. Naw bruthaz and sistaz, let us purify ourselves and rid
ourselves of such baggage (gotta be a lean mean fighting machine, can't be
havin excess baggage slowin me down yo!). The next two verses tell us of
what to crave, spiritual milk, like babies. Checkit, when you were a baby,
what did da 'rents have you drink? Milk. Why? Nutritious, gave us the stuff
we need, built us up to be stonger, not to mention it tastes good heh heh. So
like babies, this verse tells us to crave spiritual milk.... it's got aaaaall
da goodies. Everything we need to allow us to grow strong, firm, formidable,
and more. And best of all (for me anyway), it tastes.... gooooooooooood
(ain't nothing better than a meal dat hits da spot mmmhmmmm ask my mama ;)
she'll tell ya some stories about me, heh heh). Grow baby, GROW!! Let's
purify ourselves, cleave that excess baggage, drink some tight milk, havin our
cake and eatin it too.

Aight bruthaz and sistaz, mo' word comin at ya. Peace ooouuut.

      God bless,

      - patrick

ps - dont forget to answer the question, "What kind of water do you like to
drink?" wit a reply heh heh

         04 - 16 - 01

      Ohayooooo gozaimasu (goooooood morning)!

How are you doing today? It's pretty nice up here. yup yup. How
was Easter Sunday? You do anything fun and exciting? We went to the Sunrise
service at New Covenant (6am). It was tight. Afterwards we rolled over to
one of our Fraternity Brother's crib and had an excellent dinner. Basically
we just chilled the whole day. Mad relaxin, slept alot, "resting on da
Sabbath." I'm this new mode now, i'm thinking i might try to make every
sunday a chillin sunday. I'll have to rearrange how i do things durin the
week, but a chill sunday is a tight sunday, it was sooooo relaxing. Aight, on
to Scripture.

      Kyoo (today), I read 1 John 3:7-10

7 Dear children, do not let anyone led you astray. He who does what
is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. 8 He who does what
is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from
the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy
the devil's work. 9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin,
because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because
he has been born of God. 10 This is how we know who the children
of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does
not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does
      not love his brother.

Aight, let's disect. First, this passage us calls us dear children. That is,
children of the living God. And it sincerely tells us not to be lead astray.
Then it goes on to tell us how we could be led astray. There is the righteous
and the sinful. There is a huge difference between the two, although both
have similarities. Check it, both sin. Yup, they both do something wrong.
But here is the big difference. He who is sinful continues sinning, he who is
righteous tries to do what is right. In one case there is no effort to stop
doing wrong, in the other case there is plenty effort to try to do right. And
so the passage calls the one who is sinful of the devil. Why? Well, the
devil is known as the father of all lies. If he is the father of lies, then
whoever comes after and also lies, must be of him. For certainly, no child of
God would willfully lie time and time again. In the passages terms, it says
the devil has been sinning from the getgo hence the reason for Jesus'
appearance: to destroy da devil's work. BAAAAAM! like a lightning bolt. So,
us kats who are born of God will not continue to sin. Why? Checkit, we got
"God's seed" in us. We got a lil sumtim sumtim chillin in us that wants no
part of wrong, sin --> da devil. All it really wants to do, is bust out that
sword and cut down the strongholds of the evil one (bustin open a can o'
whuppin yo!) But notice the wording, it does not say that those who are born
of God do NOT sin. heeeeck naw, that would be a bold faced lie. It says that
he who is born of God does not CONTINUE to sin. Big difference yo. We are
still human, and we make mistakes, the key is what you do to correct that
mistake. Do we continue to sin, or make efforts to not sin. He who
continues to sin and calls himself a child of God is livin in a dreamworld.
For this is how we discern who is a child of God or a child of the devil:
"Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God..." There it is
yo, right there in da word. And so the word implores us not to be led astray
by suck kats. If ya think about, these kats who boldly continue to do what is
wrong are tryin to lay a smack across the face of God. But instead, they
layeth the smack down on theirselves. Hence, we can't be led astray by such
kats for if we do, they will cause us to stumble. No, true children of God
take that next step, they reach in and pull out that extra bit of umph, they
finish the race using everything they've got, they make an effort to do what
is right and not was is wrong (though sometimes they make a mistake). Keyword
yo, effort, an effort to change. The other thing i thought was kind of kool
was the rest of that last verse. it continues in its description of how to
distinguish a child of God by this: " ..; nor is anyone who does not love his
brother." heh heh, i thought that was kind of random. Everything before it
was talking about sin, continuing to sin, not sinning, doing what is right,
blahsay blahsay, but then you come to this and it sticks out like gold. Like
a huge, bright orange jacket amidst a see of black leather jackets. It's
like, "what?" Complete change of thought. Why would this be included. It's
simple yo, he who loves his bro will not sin against his bro. He who loves
his bro shows the character of God who loves us all. He who loves his bro is
obeying the greatest command, Love. So, how can any child of God lack this
quality? They can't because from it flows many many things good.

Aight peeps, man, that was a long one. Hope this day goes well for you and
that ya chill a lil bit here and there. peace out bruthaz and sistaz.

      God bless,

      - patrick

         04 - 19 - 01

      Yo yo!

Pat here. Chillin (a lil bit). Da week is almost over, and i have one
more pset to start and finish, japanese core convos to learn, and finaid
packet to put together and turn in. And then..... I'M DONE!!!! DONE DONE
DONE. For this week anyway. heh heh. How are things out there? eh eh? I got
a good question for ya. What is you favorite modern Christian song (and for
some, possibly their favorite song)? This can be of any genre, ie. hip-hop,
R&B, accapela, alternative, ska, heavy, Rap, Praise, Worship, Instrumental,
whatever. Hit me up wit a reply. And I'll put the list together and send it
right back out at ya. Then, yall have a list of a top song(s) from each
category to go check out. uh huh. But this will only work if you hit me up
with a reply. Aight? aight, on to Scripture:

      Kyoo, I read Galatians 4:8,9

8 Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who
by nature are not gods. 9 But now that you know God -- or rather
are known by God -- how is it that you are turning back to those
weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them
      all over again?

Yeaaaah buddy. This passage is basically reminding us of our higher calling.
Before finding God, da one and only, we were chillin in this world, by its
principles, etc. But the thing is, the principalities (heh heh) of the world
are subject to change depending on one's current situation. ie, yeah I'll be
nice to this kat...... only so I can continue gettin rides from this loser heh
heh heh. Yeah, principles like that. Kinda messed up, its using someone as a
tool for ones own gain payin no heed to the person this "tool" actually is.
Other such oxymorons of worldly principles exist, but they are too many to
name here. In any case, Paul is asking, but now that we know Pops, or rather
are known by Pops, how is it we keep tryin' to turn back to those worldly
principles. Not only that, he deems them as weak and miserable since they
fluctuate depending on ones mood or circumstance, etc etc. Paul is like, "naw
lo, don't fall back to that weak junk yo. We gots sumtim far far better
homes." And in fact, we do. Now that we know God, we strive to be like God.
Cuz instead of being "of the world," we are now "of God." Hence we should be
emitting God's qualities: Love, Patience, Compassion, Truth, Honor, etc etc.
But from Love all of which flow. That means our prinipalities aren't fragile,
they are ground firm. Ain't no backstabbin' up in this peace. If there is,
that's rollin back the other direction, back to the weak and miserable
principles of the world. Naw lo, don't drop that ball, remain strong holding
ourselves to a higher standard, having principles that dont sway or chafe in
the wind. No pseudo-principles. Principles that serve also to better each
and everyone of us as individuals, not to mention benefit our fellow bruthaz
and sistaz. Don't get caught slippin. Ain't no reason to turn back. It
would be like choosing fast food over yo mamma's home cooked meal (mmmmmmmm,
mom's home cooked food, ooohh yeaaahh). Ain't no point. I would sooner have
moms food than the dull in comparison fast food. tru dat. Hold yourselves
high potnas!! No longer of the world, but of God, da kat who holds creation
in his hands.

Aight bruthaz and sistaz, time fo' me to start handlin some bizness. Peace
out and take care.

      God bless,

      - patrick

         04 - 23 - 01

      Hey whut up!

Yo, it's gettin HOT up in this piece!!! Both yesterday and today. I
don't know if I can stand it, heh heh. Maybe if it stayed like it is in the
morning the whole day, that would be tight (for moi anyway). It's all good
though, cuz the weather is still tight. How are things goin? Pretty good?
Things are goin' aight over here..... except that I need more responses
potnas! Replies givin me a word up about what is your favorite Christian song
of any genre. Once i get that, I'll send out a list of these and you will
have in your possession first-hand top pics. And then, you can go check 'em
out. tight huh? But i needs them responses yo. Aight, on to Scripture.

Kyoo (today), I read, Acts 20:13-38. It was interesting, Paul was givin
his farewell speech to the elders of Ephesus, a town in which Paul had stayed
3 years spreadin da Word. Here is a tight verse.

20 You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would
be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to
      house.

Such a awesome example to learn from. So you got this new testament
badmamajamma showin us how it's done. We gotta take advantage of that yo!
Checkit, first he says he did not hesitate to preach anything that would be
helpful. If you have done any sports, you know that a second's hesitation can
be the difference between winning and losing. That one second of lost
concentration or hesitation could cause the tables to be completely turned
around, and you on the fleeing side. I've seen it many times in wrestling,
guys who should have won, lose because of hesitating. Paul doesnt make that
mistake man. If he's got sumtim ta say that would be helpful to da peeps, he
did not hesitate to speak. If sumtim is gonna help someone out, why hesitate
and risk the chance of losing the opportunity to speak and drop some
knowledge, help an old lady cross da street, save a kid from being hit by a
biker, etc. There's a difference between hesitating and waiting for an
opportune time. Hesitatin implies second thoughts, doubts, etc. Opportune
time means waitin for that time which is ripe and when it is, BAAAAAM you
pounce on that bad boy. If what you have is truth, there is no need to doubt,
thus go forth and speak if sumtim you say well bring help. Next Paul says how
spoke. Da kat spoke publicly and from house to house. See, he spoke so that
all could hear, all whom it could benefit would hear. Not only that, he also
went house to house. In other words, he went to where the people were. Let's
be honest, everyone is not gonna come to you, you must go to them. In other
words, bust out of that comfort zone, grab a weapon, and launch an attack (for
those of you who like that terminology). Or, burgeon into the fullness of
truth and drop some knowledge, grow beyond the limits of your physical self,
rely on Pops and do things that you never thought you could do....like go to
where the people are. And Paul is restin pretty smug now, he's gotten himself
a tight situation. If you look at verse 26, because of his unhesitation (is
that a real word???? heh heh) he says,

"Therefore, I declare to you today that I am innocent of the blood
of all men. 27 For I have not hesitated to proclaim to you the
      whole will of God"

tiiiiiiight, by not hesitatin and going forth, then if Pop's sends you to drop
some kat, you would not have missed your calling. Whereas if you hesitate at
the moment of truth, just might have missed da calling. So, brethren and
sistren (heh heh), hesitate now, speak publicly, and go from house to house
(to where the people are).

      Aight potnas, peace out!

      Hey Peeps,

You remember how I was tellin you it was all hot and stuff? Forget
that, its Cold again. Mon and Tues were mad hot, but today, it's cold. That's
New England weather for ya, heh heh. It's all good, I ain't got no problems.
But for the first time in any week, I have an easy last three days and only
one pset due (BIOlogy, but i can't really call that a pset for obvious
reasons). So I'm free (besides the japanese stuff), afer only two days!!! HAH
HAH. yeaaahhh buuuuuuddy. Anywho, on to Scripture (ps, the music list will
come out either tonight, tomorrow or Friday, its not too long cuz only a few
replied with their favorites. So if you are one of those few who sent one, if
you would like to send another you are welcome to, and to the ones who haven't
sent any yet, time's runnin out...)

Kyoo (today), I read Mark 13:32-37. Jesus is talking about the Day and Hour
being unknown and He uses the illustration of a master leaving his house and
putting his servants in charge and one at the watch.

35 "Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner
of the house will come back -- whether in the evening, or at
midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. 36 If he
comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. 37 What I
say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!"

It's like when one is in combat, he must be alert at all times, totally aware
of his surroundings and that which is around him. That's how you get to be a
PHAT martial artists (like Bruce Lee). How do we get to be a PHAT warrior in
the elite force of God? For one, we gots ta be alert. Homeboy Jesus left and
he be comin back one of these days, but he left us kats to carry on the work,
to lead the way, to destroy the strongholds of the evil one, to "grab a weapon
and stand a post" (quote courtesy of New Covenant Christian Church). Can we
do that..... if we are sleepin? Nope, that's why we gots ta be on da lookout,
always alert cuz we have no clue when the owner of the house is comin back.
And we definately don't wanna be caught sleepin when he does, cuz then we
might just miss the reward he has for us. Not to mention if we are sleepin,
we ain't saving souls and makin the devil feel like a chump, washed up and
outmatched. So be alert "whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the
rooster crows, or at dawn." A question for you to ponder is, "What
constitutes sleeping?", that is, "What is takin' me out of the loop? What's
slowin me down? What's keeping me from achieving elite status in God's School
of 'Dish Out a Beat Down'?"

Aight peeps, this one was purty short today, but there linger some
questions at the end there that should rack your brains for a bit. And if you
want talk to me about sumtim, feel free to drop me an email. Aight brethren
and sistren, this has been a mo' word fo' yo' bird production (heh heh), peace
love and honor.

      God bless,

      - patrick
